Upcoming Events for Your HR Team

In the coming months, your Association is hosting two events to help HR professionals sharpen their skills, network with colleagues from across the Northwest, and empower your credit union to face the challenges of the current environment.

HR and Trainers’ Council, March 6

During the first 2018 session of your Association’s HR & Trainers’ Council this March, the team at Farleigh Wada Witt will provide guidance on building cultural competence to minimize discrimination in the workplace. You’ll also have the opportunity to bring your questions, topics, and challenges to a roundtable discussion, and discuss best practices during a networking lunch. Click here to register.

The council meets via videoconferencing in Boise, Eugene, Lewiston, Medford, Pocatello, SeaTac, Spokane, and Tigard.

As the 2018 Council meetings begin, remember that while Association members may purchase an individual seat to any Council meeting, a membership provides the most value if your credit union’s team is planning on attending multiple meetings. Click here for more information on membership options.

HR Legal Update, May 24

This year’s HR Legal Update Seminar will help you and your team develop strategies to weather the changes and challenges of employment law.

During this event, you’ll receive guidance from Farleigh Wada Witt’s team of experts. Their advice will help you navigate the current legal environment, including immediate and anticipated changes to laws likely to impact Northwest credit union employees this year. You’ll also have the opportunity to bring your questions and concerns to the table.

This seminar’s eligibility for HRCI Certification is pending approval and is expected soon.

The event will take place in Portland on May 24, with videoconferencing in SeaTac and Boise. Travelers can take advantage of NWCUA’s travel discounts.

Register by March 15 to receive early-bird pricing.
