Oregon Credit Unions Contribute Thousands to Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center
December 19, 2017
More than 10 million kids rely on the work of a Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) hospitals, like Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, every year. For more than 30 years, the credit union community has been raising money to support these hospitals’ lifesaving efforts through Credit Unions for Kids.
Northwest credit unions raised more than $334,000 to support the region’s eight CMN hospitals at the Credit Unions for Kids auction during October’s NWCUA MAXX Convention.
In keeping with the holiday spirit, three Oregon credit unions came together to deliver the $20,698 they raised collectively at the auction to Asante Rogue Regional on Dec. 18. Participating credit unions included Rogue Credit Union, Pacific Crest Federal Credit Union, and First Community Credit Union. Their shared contribution will fund research, patient care, and services for families of sick and injured children.
In addition to the funds, the credit unions presented the hospital with a Red Flyer Wagon filled with toys, a Credit Unions for Kids tradition.
Rogue Credit Union also presented the hospital with a check for $60,000, representing funds raised by the credit union throughout 2017.
Following the check presentations, the credit union representatives toured the Pediatrics Unit, which was recently updated thanks in part to credit unions’ collaboration to support this cause.
