NCU-ISAO’s Annual Conference Will Prepare Your Credit Union to Tackle the Next Cybersecurity Threat

From data breaches to disaster recovery, cybersecurity issues have never seemed more newsworthy, or more daunting.

The National Credit Union Information Sharing & Analysis Organization’s (NCU-ISAO) upcoming annual conference is designed to help credit unions tackle the ever-growing series of cybersecurity challenges.

“One of the best things credit unions can do to prevent and detect cybersecurity breaches is to talk about the issues, and work toward solutions together,” said Katie Clark, NWCUA’s Regulatory & Compliance Analyst. “This conference is a great opportunity for professionals to collaborate on ways to protect their credit unions and their members from the many cybersecurity threats we face today.”

The NCU-ISAO conference will take place Jan. 30–31, 2018, in Dallas, Texas. It is primarily geared toward credit union professionals working in the areas of information security, risk, compliance, and fraud, as well as those responsible for organizational cybersecurity.

The event will feature speakers from the NCUA, FEMA, and FBI, in addition to various service providers and industry experts. Attendees also will have the opportunity to participate in an incident response tabletop exercise, facilitated by the Department of Homeland Security.

“I hope to see other Northwest credit union professionals join us at this conference to discuss their concerns, and to gain insights from other experts from across the country,” Clark said.

Both NCU-ISAO members and non-members are invited to attend. NWCUA members who are not members of the NCU-ISAO may use a discount code (NWCUADISC) to receive NCU-ISAO member pricing at checkout.
