Office Depot, a Strategic Link Partner, Announces New Paper Promotions
In response to industry-wide paper price increases, Office Depot implements new discounts members will have access to throughout Q4.
In an effort to reduce the impact of the paper price increases going into effect this month, our Strategic Link partner, Office Depot, has launched several new paper discounts members will have access to throughout the fourth quarter of 2017.
Nineteen paper producers will be implementing price increases from Oct. 1 through Nov. 1, 2017, including the four largest manufacturers in North America — Domtar, Boise Paper, International Paper, and Georgia Pacific — and the two largest importers, Suzano and Sopercel/Navigator.
These increases can be attributed to a number of factors, including the fact that pulp prices are up 10 percent year to date. Fiber costs, the largest component of manufacturing costs, are now higher. Energy costs have also risen, primarily as a result of the increase in natural gas prices. Additionally, freight costs have climbed due to high-capacity utilization, due to the strength of the economy and the manufacturing sector.
To ease the weight of increasing paper costs on its customers, Office Depot has announced several paper promotions to help you stock up for the fourth quarter. Click here for details about the discounts.
