During the recent NWCUA and ICUL Board elections, several new leaders stepped forward to serve. We extend our gratitude to members who stepped down from their seats after years of dedicated service.

Following are the details on the new Boards of Directors.

NWCUA Board of Directors Election Results

This Spring, the Northwest Credit Union Association Nominating Committee announced four NWCUA Board of Directors’ terms were up for election this cycle.

The election cycle has concluded with several qualified and engaged credit union leaders stepping forward to serve.

As these candidates ran uncontested, a membership vote was not necessary to conclude the 2017 NWCUA Board election process.

Your Association is pleased to announce that Jim Lumpkin, President/CEO of USAgencies Credit Union, Bob Newcomb, President/CEO of SELCO Community Credit Union, and John Zmolek, President/CEO of Verity Credit Union, will continue their service on the NWCUA Board.

This year, Jack Fallis, President/CEO of Global Credit Union, will step down from NWCUA’s Board after seven years of service, including serving as the Board Chair for two years.

“I know I speak on behalf of the entire Board when I extend my gratitude to Jack for his service to credit unions across the region,” said Brooke Van Vleet, NWCUA Board Chair and President/CEO of St. Helens Community Credit Union. “He truly lives his belief that credit unions exist to grow dreams, members, and communities.”

In addition to the incumbent Board Members, NWCUA President/CEO, Troy Stang, welcomed Scott Burgess, President/CEO of Rivermark Community Credit Union, to the NWCUA Board.

We would like to thank Brian Osberg, President/CEO of Connections Credit Union, for his service on the ICUL Board. Brian has stepped down from his seat on the Board after serving for three years. He will be honored at the MAXX Annual Convention in October.

“We deeply appreciate Brian’s commitment to advancing the Credit Union Movement,” said Kent Oram, ICUL Board Chair and President/CEO of Idaho Central Credit Union. “Brian has helped credit unions across the state not only through his strategic planning and financial guidance, but also through his advocacy for credit unions at the state and federal levels.”

To fill Brian’s remaining term, the Board appointed Dan Thurman, President/CEO of East Idaho Credit Union, to serve on the ICUL Board.
