Several Northwest credit unions welcomed new talent to their leadership teams this month.

Gayle Rust Gustafson, iQ Credit Union, Chief Lending Officer

iQ Credit Union Adds Chief Lending Officer

Gayle Rust Gustafson has joined Washington-based iQ Credit Union as chief lending officer, where she will oversee consumer, business, and mortgage lending.

“Gayle is a tremendous addition to our team,” said Kelly Schrader, iQ Credit Union’s president and CEO. “Her strong lending background and credit union experience will be instrumental in delivering value to our members and supporting our growth here in Washington and Oregon.”

Gustafson has more than 35 years of experience in the credit union industry. She comes to iQ after 15 years at a credit union in Portland as vice president of lending. Past positions include executive roles at other regional credit unions.

Active in the Northwest Credit Union Association, Gustafson was recently chair of the Regulatory Advisory Committee and served on the Oregon Governmental Affairs Committee. She also served on the Oregon Business Association’s Education Committee. She is a former executive committee member for the CUNA Lending Council and served as the CUNA Council Forum Chair.

Darren Hamby Joins BECU as Vice President of Total Rewards

BECU welcomes Darren Hamby as its new vice president of Total Rewards, a role in which he will oversee compensation, benefits, payroll and work/life programs for the credit union’s more than 1,800 employees.

Hamby previously served as senior vice president and chief human resources officer at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle, and as senior vice president of human resources and corporate services at ZymoGenetics, Inc.

Extending his service to his community, Hamby has also served as a board member and in varying board leadership roles at SHARE Credit Union, Pacific Lutheran University, ArtsFund and the Center for Leadership Formation.

Columbia Credit Union Welcomes Dan Kreamier as VP Branch Manager of Buckman Branch in Portland

Columbia Credit Union welcomed Dan Kreamier as the new vice president branch manager of its first Oregon branch, the Buckman branch. Located in a new southeast Portland development on Belmont between southeast 10th and 11th Avenues, the branch is now under construction and expected to open later this year.

“I am excited to be named vice president branch manager for Columbia Credit Union’s first Portland branch, and to serve the people who live and work in the vibrant Buckman community,” said Kreamier.

Kreamier has more than 20 years of experience in financial services. Prior to arriving at Columbia Credit Union, he served as a branch manager for Advantis Credit Union. During his career, he also held management positions at First Community Credit Union, Community Loans of America, and Fidelity Collection Services.

“Dan is a great addition to our outstanding branch management team,” said Columbia Credit Union vice president branch services Tiffany McGuire. “As VP branch manager of our first Oregon branch, Dan is already reaching out to local residents and businesses to discover how we can best serve them. Columbia Credit Union is moving into the area not only as a respected financial partner but as a resource for the community.”
