Red Canoe’s Amy Davis Completes Eight Years of Service to National CUNA Executive Committee

Amy Davis, Chief Marketing Officer

In her eight years of service to the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council’s Executive Committee, Amy Davis helped coordinate educational opportunities, national conference content, presentations and white paper development beneficial to thousands of credit union marketing professionals.

The Executive Committee helps CUNA staff plan the annual conference, develop cutting edge research projects and manage recognition programs, including the national Diamond Awards.

Davis’ consecutive terms of service ended officially during the national Marketing and Business Development Council Conference in San Antonio.

“Serving on the Executive Committee for the Councils for the past eight years has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career,” Davis noted. “I’ve collaborated with the brightest minds in the industry and enjoyed working with CUNA Councils and my board peers to make a difference in our industry. I also made some wonderful friendships that will transcend our working careers; these people have made me a better person by being in my life.”

Davis was elected to serve on the Executive Committee, and volunteered her services. Her day job as Chief Marketing Officer for Longview, Washington-based Red Canoe Credit Union continues to keep her busy doing what she loves to do – evangelize credit unions and grow talent.

While Davis leaves the Executive Committee, two Northwest members remain and a third has been appointed.

Horizon Credit Union’s Vice President of Marketing Brian Grytdal continues as a member and sees the Executive Committee’s role as making the Marketing and Business Development Council a destination for “networking, resources, innovation and pathways to leadership.”

Brian Griffith, assistant vice president of marketing at Richland, Washington-based Gesa Credit Union, is also an elected member of the Executive Committee.

It is, he says “a great way to give back to our entire credit union system and help strengthen our people-powered movement for years of continued service.”

Appointed last month to serve as the credit union league system’s representative on the Executive Committee is Lynn Heider, vice president of public relations for the Northwest Credit Union Association.

“CUNA and the leagues are focused on providing value, networking, training and educational content to credit union professionals. I encourage credit union professionals to reach out to those of us on the Executive Committee if they want to be involved in the council, or make special requests for content that we can provide,” Heider said.
