Dennis Clinton Honored After Four Decades of Service

When Dennis Clinton decided to retire after 40 years in the financial services industry—including 38 years with Spokane City Credit Union—there was one additional send-off from his colleagues and friends.

Dennis Clinton receiving his NWCUA Proclamation from Spokane Media FCU President/CEO Debie Keese.

Clinton was presented with a Proclamation on behalf of your Association, signed by NWCUA President and CEO Troy Stang, NWCUA Board Chair Brooke van Vleet of St. Helens Community Credit Union, and ICUL Board Chair Kent Oram of Idaho Central Credit Union. It was presented by Debie Keesee, President/CEO of Spokane Media Federal Credit Union.

He has “pledged fidelity to the Credit Union Movement throughout his career, embodying the cooperative principles and making the system better and stronger,” the Proclamation read.

Clinton has been committed to promoting asset-building, economic empowerment, and cooperative development, both as a longtime Board Member and Chair of the Washington Credit Union Foundation Board, and active with the National Credit Union Foundation for many years.

In addition, his local support of Credit Unions for Kids via Spokane Chiefs hockey games and Spokane Indians baseball games made him a fixture at both. His work also spanned involvement in the Spokane Chapter of Credit Unions.

Along with the NWCUA Proclamation, Clinton was recognized with another from CUNA for his service on behalf of members and credit unions.
