CUNA to Kickoff Campaign for Common-Sense Regulation With Webinar

In a message to CUNA and League affilates this week, CUNA President and CEO Jim Nussle asked credit union advocates to mark their calendars for the official launch of the Campaign for Common-Sense Regulation.

The campaign will kick off with a webinar to outline the coordinated steps for help credit unions strike down excessive regulations to better serve their members.

“With an incoming Congress and administration demonstrating serious interest in peeling away needless regulations, it’s clear we have a critical opportunity before us,” Nussle wrote. “We must all come together as one movement and take advantage.”

Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. EST. 

The effort will include strong engagement with the CUNA Member Activation Program, participation in a variety of CUNA and League grassroots advocacy programs, and a commitment to go all out for credit union advocacy all year long.

“Now is the time to make sure Congress gets the message that excessive Washington regulations are squeezing an already-burdened American Middle Class,” Nussle added. He will be joined on the webinar by Ryan Donovan, CUNA Chief Advocacy Officer and Richard Gose, CUNA Chief Political Officer.
