The NWCUA MAXX Convention kicked off this morning in SeaTac, Washington. Hundreds of Northwest Credit Union Movement leaders arrived in SeaTac looking for ways to MAXXimize value for their members, starting with the Small Credit Union Roundtable this morning.
Later, NWCUA COO Denise Gabel, and President and CEO Troy Stang, will officially welcome attendees to the convention. National Credit Union Administration Chair Rick Metsger will follow to share news from the agency.
Katie Greenman of Dear World will give the opening keynote, using visual storytelling and the power of community in this unforgettable presentation with a simple yet powerful take-away for credit unions.
The session will be followed by a photo opportunity with Dear World at the Welcome Reception at Maxi’s on the 14th floor.
The takeaway for credit unions in attendance should be simple and powerful, as Dear World gives people a forum to tell “stories of hope, struggle, and a brighter future, at a time when the world could sure use some positivity.”
The Welcome Reception will also feature a separate session, Young Credit Union Professionals Community Impact to the MAXX, in collaboration with YCUP Portland and young credit union professionals in Seattle. Thanks to a grant from the Northwest Credit Union Foundation, attendees will assemble care packages for the families of patients at our six regional Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
This event is open to all credit union professionals regardless of whether they are attending the MAXX Convention.
