The Credit Unions for Kids Auction is regularly one of the most popular events at the convention, with revelers having the chance to participate in Northwest credit unions’ fundraising vehicle to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Last week, we talked about just some of the auction items that will be available, and tickets to get in set attendees back $125. That’s where a few lucky young credit union professionals will have the chance to apply, and win, a seat of their own.
“It’s a great opportunity for young professionals to get to the dinner and auction, but also steal some face time with credit union leadership, and do some networking,” said Carmen Vigil, NWCUA Community Manager.
Applicants can fill out a form answering four short questions about their experience in the Credit Union movement so far, thoughts on Credit Unions for Kids and what they hope to take away by attending the auction. Winners will be contacted by September 16.
Victoria King, of Rivermark Community Credit Union, is helping to select the seat winners. As a former winner of the Young Credit Union Professional Award, she knows the importance of attending events such as these.
“The auction is a tangible example, and fantastic introduction for someone relatively new to the credit union industry, of the impact credit unions have through philanthropy and community support around the Northwest. They have so much to gain by attending,”
