CFSI Announces #FinHealthMatters Day

The Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI) has announced June 29 as #FinHealthMatters Day. They are asking financial institutions, innovators, nonprofits and others who support Americans’ financial health to use the hashtag #FinHealthMatters between now and June 30 to show our nation that we are focused on Financial Health and that it matters for all of us.

CFSI is also running a blog contest for essays published on June 29 with the theme “What Financial Health Means to Me.” All are encouraged to enter, and instructions for entry are here:

“Financial education eludes too many, and is one of the single greatest empowerment tools we have to help them build a better future,” said Jamie Dedmon, Managing Director of the Northwest Credit Union Foundation, which has endorsed the effort. “According to CFSI, 57 percent of Americans—that’s 138 million adults—are struggling financially. Raising awareness of how we can help them every chance we have is essential.”
