Political Advocacy With a Side of Slaw

Ah, summer… a time for sunshine, cooking on the grill and political advocacy. Yes, you read that right—CULAC Month is just around the corner, and to help get you energized for a month of political fundraising, we’re hosting an Advocacy BBQ!

The best part? It’s FREE to attend!

But wait…who are the Northwest Young Credit Union Professionals? We are a group of, you guessed it, young credit union professionals. But more than that, our network is made up of credit union professionals of all ages, who support our mission to engage, develop, and retain young professionals within the credit union movement.

Join us on June 29 at 6pm, at Point West Credit Union in Portland, OR and meet your NWYCUP, enjoy some tasty barbeque, and get involved in the advocacy process.

We’ll be joined by legislative gurus from the Northwest Credit Union Association, as well as local legislators and/or their staff. Plus, Point West Credit Union will fire up the grill on their fantastic back patio, and you’ll get a chance to mingle with your fellow credit union professionals.

“There are so many creative opportunities to contribute to CULAC and get engaged in advocacy. NWYCUP is a great example of that engagement, but also as a place where credit union leaders of tomorrow can develop their talents and grow their networks,” said Samantha A.M. Beeler, NWCUA Director of Grassroots Advocacy.

It’s a can’t-miss event! You can register here and we look forward to seeing you at Point West on June 29.
