Updated Social Media Messaging Tools Available in Marketing Resource Center

Today’s digital and social communications environment is constantly moving and evolving— same as today’s Credit Union Movement. By presenting a compelling, pro-credit union message online that mirrors the good work done in your branches and communities, you can amplify the credit union difference to a larger audience.

In order to both kickstart and corral the individual efforts of 157 credit unions across Oregon and Washington, your Association has compiled the Marketing Resource Center. And this week, updated social media messaging is available for members to sketch out a digital strategy.

“Part of the power of social media is immediacy. People consume news and content in real-time, so it’s important to be prepared with social messaging that reinforces your efforts in a timely fashion,” said Eric Horvath, Northwest Credit Union Association Communications Manager. “These examples give credit unions a literal framework to speak with one voice throughout social media.”

Credit union marketing teams are encouraged to use the templates how they see fit, from copying and pasting to editing to include content specific to their communities. Messages are broken up weekly by state based on current events, advocacy or state-specific data showing the value of credit union membership.

The templates run through the end of June, and are available on the NWCUA member password-protected website,  http://nwcua.org/impact/proCUresources under Social Media Best Practices.
