Got Payments Process Solutions? NACHA Challenge Pays Cash

NACHA, the Electronic Payments Association, issued two calls to action this month that may of interest to credit unions, according to Jim Morrell, President and CEO of Shelton, WA based Peninsula CU, and a member of NAHCA’s Board of Directors.
NACHA has announced a team competition challenging innovators, thinkers and practitioners from any organization to submit proposals for solutions and approaches to address market gaps and/or remove friction from the payments process to enhance the ACH end-user experience. Teams compete for the $15,000 Judges’ Choice and $10,000 Audience Choice cash awards. Prizes will be awarded at the NACHA Payments System Awards Luncheon, sponsored by TD Bank, N.A., on Tuesday, April 19 at the conference in Phoenix. The entry deadline is March 25.
NACHA is also accepting nominations for the George Mitchell Payments System Excellence Award and the Kevin O’Brien ACH Network Award, which recognize the highest degree of achievement in the development, implementation and advancement of electronic payments. These prestigious awards celebrate outstanding accomplishments and superior leadership in innovation, excellence and promotion of the positive environmental impact of electronic payments, statements and billing. Awards will be presented at the NACHA Payments System Awards Luncheon, sponsored by TD Bank, N.A., on Tuesday, April 19 at the conference.
