Blueprint for Success Offers Strategic Advice for Credit Unions

The first in the series of presentations begins tomorrow, January 13.

The 30-minute economic presentation is designed to help credit unions understand how unfolding economic activity may influence strategic planning in 2016. Discussion will focus on topics such as rates, credit risk, investments, and regulatory concerns, among others.

The presentation will feature moderator Jane McGarry fielding questions to a panel of Catalyst Strategic Solutions and Catalyst Corporate experts: Steven Houle, Vice President, Advisory Service; Mark DeBree, Vice President, ALM Services; and Sarina Freedland, Senior Investment Officer.

“The panel demonstrates the diversity of Catalyst’s expertise in balance sheet management,” said Mike McGinnis, Catalyst Corporate vice president of investment services. “Their nuanced views on how economic conditions affect credit unions should make for a stimulating conversation.”

“Credit unions benefit from having information delivered in a dynamic, visual format,” said McGinnis. Even more important than format, he said, is content.

“The most critical aspect of all of our educational programs is how relevant the information is to credit unions. Catalyst Corporate staff members have the ability to explain the connections between market and economic events and credit union balance sheets and operations. That’s hard to find anywhere else.”

Blueprint for Success, the first in a series of financial management educational programs that Catalyst Corporate and Catalyst Strategic Solutions will bring to members and clients in 2016, will be presented January 13 at 2 p.m. Central Time.
