Credit Unions Invited to Financial Fair for Minority and Women’s Enterprises

The Washington State Office of Minority & Women’s Business Enterprises (OMWBE) is inviting credit unions to join their upcoming financial fair. The OMWBE is designed to improve the participation of minority and women owned businesses in state contracting by certifying minority and women owned businesses for the state. Their mission is to optimize and ensure equity and opportunity for these small businesses through outreach, certification, and education.

On October 1, they will hold a financial fair to provide information about the various financing options that are available to these small businesses. They are inviting interested credit unions to participate and staff a table at the event.

The fair will be held on October 1, 2015 from 6–8 p.m. at the Tukwila Community Center, 12424 42nd Avenue South, Tukwila, WA 98168.

Credit unions interested in participating should contact OMWBE Assistant Director of Communications & External Relations Edwina Martin-Arnold at 360.664.9776 or edwinam@omwbe.wa.gov.
