National Financial Education Tour Comes to the Northwest

Phroogal’s national tour to engage Millennials in financial education is coming to Seattle and Corvallis.

Phroogal, a financial education service that empowers millennials to make better informed financial decisions, is hitting the road on an epic 30-day journey zigzagging across the country, from Maine to California, to get people talking about their financial wellness. They will be stopping in Seattle, Washington and Corvallis, Oregon this week.

Their Road to Financial Wellness tour is a local grassroots and social media event to turn local money discussions into a national conversation on financial wellness. The mission is to participate in 30 events in 30 locations in 30 days to record, curate and share the financial stories of people in an effort to educate and inspire others to take action and draw media attention to the importance of financial accessibility.

At each stop, Phroogal aims to engage with financial institutions, conduct money talks with the local people, and host an event to encourage and empower millennials to take control of their financial situation.

Seattle’s stop will be hosted by Equality Washington, the campaign to start America’s first credit union focused on the financial needs of the LGBTQ community. It will take place at Gay City, a Seattle nonprofit promoting wellness in LGBTQ communities. The event is open to all.

Equality Washington is seeking sponsors for the financial education event. You can contact them by clicking here.
