Banks should stop bullying credit unions

More than 3 million Washingtonians have made local, not-for-profit credit unions their best choice for financial services.

Unfortunately, while credit unions have been busy serving their members, the bank lobby has launched an unprovoked, unsubstantiated attack on Washington state credit unions and their members.

Unlike profit-driven banks, which pay out their earnings to stockholders, credit unions are not-for-profit cooperatives and return earnings to their members.
