Global Credit Union: Committed to the Troops

Every year from Memorial Day to September 11, Global Credit Union turns red to support U.S. military personnel.

Employees of the Spokane-based credit union wear red on Fridays to support American troops and encourage their members and community to join the movement. Staff members sell ‘Wear Red’ t-shirts and accept donations to raise money for local military organizations. Global was founded on Fairchild Air Force Base in 1954 and maintains deep ties with the military community.

“As Global celebrates its 60th anniversary this year,” said CEO Jack Fallis, “we attribute much of our success to our inception as a military credit union. Our Wear Red campaign is just one way we thank our troops and veterans for their service.”

The credit unions of Oregon and Washington not only improve their members’ lives, they are foundational to the entire Northwest economy. Learn more here.
