Volunteer to Help Create 2015 Credit Unions for Kids Auction

Thanks to the help of committed volunteers, last October’s Credit Unions for Kids auction raised over $200,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout Oregon and Washington. Now the NWCUA is asking for volunteers from Northwest credit unions to help make this year’s auction the biggest one ever.

The 2015 auction will take place on October 7 in Portland, Oregon alongside the NWCUA’s annual Amplify Convention.

“The auction is an opportunity to amplify the efforts of credit unions around the Northwest to support Credit Unions for Kids,” said Steve Pagenstecher, vice president of member experience at Point West Credit Union. “The generosity on display, the heartfelt passion of the attendees, and the sobering stories of survival thanks to dedication of our local CMN hospitals makes volunteering a no-brainer — it’s been an honor to be involved. I wouldn’t miss it!”

The first volunteer meeting will be held on March 17 from 9-11 a.m. by video conference at the NWCUA’s offices in Tigard, Oregon and SeaTac, Washington. Those who can’t make it to one of those two locations can phone-in to the meeting.
