Filene Impact Roadshow Rolls into Portland

The Filene Impact Road Show is coming to the Northwest, and you’re invited to the free event showcasing their latest innovative programs. The credit union “think-and-do tank” is inviting Northwest credit unions — both Filene members and non-members — to join them at Unitus Community Credit Union in Portland, Oregon on Wednesday January 21 for the 90-minute event.

The 90-minute program will take credit union representatives quickly through the research behind Filene programs and into demonstrations of how the programs drive success, and stories of credit unions that are using them.

“It’s like drinking through the fire hose of impact,” laughed Tansley Stearns, Filene’s chief impact officer. She said that Filene will present several projects, including “It’s A Money Thing,” a way for credit unions to engage with the next generation of members through monthly, engaging content, and “Larky,” a mobile app that alerts members to good deals in their community and beyond through a credit union-branded interface.

“Imagine a member is walking down the street,” said Stearns, “and your brand pops up and says, ‘Hey, you have a deal waiting for you at this diner.’” Credit unions can even arrange deals with local businesses, offering their members exclusive discounts, Stearns said.

“You’ll leave with at least one idea that can make your credit union even stronger!” said Filene in a statement. Click here for more information, and here to register.
