Rogue CEO Named WCMS Chairman, Numerica CEO Welcomed to Board

The Western CUNA Management School (WCMS) board of trustees recently named Rogue Credit Union President and CEO Gene Pelham as its new chairman. The board also welcomed two new members: Numerica Credit Union President and CEO Carla Altepeter and SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union President and CEO Bill Cheney.

Pelham graduated from WCMS with honors in 1995 and has been on the school’s board since 2007.

Altepeter served as CEO of CitizensFirst Credit Union in Oshkosh, Wisconsin before taking the helm at Numerica. She has completed the CUES Certified Chief Executive Institute and the CUES Advanced Leadership Institute.

“We are forturnate that outstanding credit union leaders like Carla and Bill have chosen to join our team,” said Pelham. “It is exciting to know that when we gather around the board room table we will have some of the most influential leaders in the credit union movement in the room.”

WCMS serves credit unions in 13 states, helping professionals develop their skills and expand their knowledge of the credit union industry and movement.
