Shelli Millhuff, president and CEO of Nordstrom Federal Credit Union, has been elected to the Northwest Credit Union Foundation (NWCUF) Board of Directors. Shelli will serve as the representative of District 8.
“I am honored to join the NWCUF Board,” Millhuff said, “and extremely excited to become more involved in the community and work toward promoting the mission of the Foundation. To be part of an organization that is charged with educating credit unions and other nonprofits about the benefits of uniting to improve and grow the regional economy is a challenge that I look forward to.”
Previously to her tenure at Nordstrom Federal, Millhuff served as the director of operations at Northwest Plus Credit Union, vice president of risk management at Watermark Credit Union, and operations director at Watermark Credit Union.
“We are delighted to have Shelli join the Foundation board and bring her 31 years of credit union experience,” said Kim Vu, NWCUF’s executive director. “As a champion for the Foundation in the greater community, I look forward to her contributions to help further expand the Foundation’s impact and influence in the Northwest, in the areas of asset building, economic empowerment and cooperative development through collaborative partnerships with credit unions and other mission aligned community stakeholders.”
Millhuff will be taking the seat of Gayle Yost, who is stepping down after eight years of committed service. She began her service with the Washington Credit Union Foundation in 2006, and was elected to the NWCUF Board in 2012.
“Gayle has contributed valued insight and offered energy and enthusiasm to the work of the Foundation,” said Vu, “and has focused in on the areas of asset building, economic empowerment and cooperative development. Along with her fellow board members, she has been instrumental in taking the Foundation’s strategy to the next level and creating an organization focused on creating positive regional impact and driving measureable outcomes.”
Millhuff will begin her service on the NWCUF Board on October 7, immediately following the Foundation’s annual board meeting. Several other seats up for re-election were uncontested, and others did not face re-election this cycle. As of October 7, the NWCUF’s Board of Directors will include:
- Steve Wilder
- Kyle Frick
- Barbara Mathey
- Tom Berquist
- Steven Pagenstecher
- Jane Parker
- Scott Prior
- Shelli Millhuff
