Fibre Federal and iQ Credit Union again join forces in one of the area’s most looked-forward-to (and loudest) annual fundraisers for Credit Unions for Kids. The Ride & Rock takes place on August 23.
Details about the event’s colorful motorcycle poker run from Woodland to Johnson Ridge at St. Helens and on to Ridgefield can be found online.
No Wheels? No Problem.
Event promoters are quick to stress that anyone not wanting to ride a motorcycle, can purchase tickets to the concert for just $25. Held on the scenic grounds of Bethany Vineyards in Ridgefield, Washington, the concert features the upbeat, top-40 live music of 5Live and Raeann Phillips. A barbeque dinner is included with the admission price, and wine service is available.
In addition, prizes will be given away, including a night stay at the Sentinel Hotel Downtown Portland, signed Blazer memorabilia, golf packages to Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, Rogue Brewery gift certificates and more.
“We’re more than honored and proud to be raising funds and awareness for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital,” said Larry Hoff, CEO of Fibre Federal. “Because of their commitment to help all children regardless of their ability to pay, Doernbecher can truly use our help to continue their passion for healing and research. It goes without saying that if our Ride and Rock event can be translated into help for one sick child — or assistance toward even a small breakthrough for some crippling childhood disease — we’ll have given a true gift to our society. Helping sick children — can there be a more worthy goal?”
