Catalyst Corporate ‘Supercharges’ 2014 Education and Training

Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union has scheduled a full slate of educational webinars for the first half of 2014, with topics ranging from cloud computing and student loans to corporate checking and portfolio strategies.

“Catalyst Corporate has a strong track record of leveraging in-house expertise to help credit unions achieve their education and training objectives,” says President/CEO Kathy Garner. “In 2014, we are placing an even greater emphasis on how we can add value for credit unions through this channel.”

In addition to the webinars, Catalyst Corporate offers a variety of publications, including “Behind the Numbers”; periodic economic commentaries; a “Current Issue” column in each edition of the quarterly “Due Diligence Report”; online training events; and in-person conferences.

A few of the webinars have already been held. “Credit Union Blueprint” — hosted by Catalyst Strategic Solutions – was broadcast as a video production in January and drew nearly 200 registrants. It’s still available as slides and a recording at: www.catalystcorp.org/outlook.

 “We think the new presentation format created excitement about this annual economic outlook; however, we know that what causes credit unions to come back time and again is the quality of the information itself,” Garner says. “Years of experience working with credit unions and studying the markets allow our team to provide targeted content and deep insights that credit unions find truly applicable.”

On Jan. 30, “Liquidity Planning: Preparing for the New Regulation” drew more than 250 registrants. It, too, is available online at http://catalystcorp.org/invtrain.aspx.

“The liquidity planning session was designed to help credit unions prepare to implement new policies and to establish new funding sources in compliance with the regulation that goes into effect on March 31,” Garner says. “It’s a good example of how we strive to align education and training with the challenges credit unions are facing today.”
