VP Lending Sales

Job Description

The goal of this role is to deliver competitive and profitable loan products to CCU members across all delivery channels; strategic planning, creating a consistent member purchasing experience and strong investor partnerships. This is a senior leadership role responsible for strategic planning & execution; profitability; compliance and loan quality; as well as all loan production goals which includes developing and administering all loan programs/products; pricing and marketing those products; and recruiting, hiring, training and managing teams of new and existing staff to maximize loan sales efforts across all product sets and delivery channels. This is a highly collaborative role which requires the ability to liaison between multiple credit union departments, is responsive to executive management requirements and operates in prescribed budget. This leader is highly member-focused and hands-on while insuring that staff consistently provides high levels of member service. Leads strong sales strategy and business development initiatives. Reports to the SVP, CLO – Consumer Channels.

Directly manages the Centralized Sales Organization; Branch & Field Home Loan Officers; and Indirect Loan Sales, and shares Branch Consumer Loan production responsibility with VP, Branch Services. The scope includes Direct and Indirect secured loans, credit cards, personal loans and lines of credit, and all real estate secured loans.

Required Experience

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate extensive sales and sales leadership success with a broad array of consumer and home loan products. They will have a solid track record of building effective sales teams and delivering year-over-year loan growth in an efficient, compliant and well documented manner. Their experience will include product development, strategic planning, and they will be NMLS registered with a strong background in mortgage lending. Indirect lending experience is an important plus. This individual must be comfortable with profitability models, pipeline management, developing incentive plans, and managing operational expenses.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years in lending /Minimum 5 years in a lending leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading managers and sales teams to successful achievement of goals
  • In depth knowledge of secured and unsecured loan sales
  • Broad knowledge of real estate and consumer lending processes and regulatory requirements
  • Experience managing P&L, goal setting, and staffing
  • Contract negotiations & Vendor management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and orally
