Deadline Approaches for Submitting 2013 Credit Unions for Kids Fundraising Proceeds

Proceeds from all Credit Unions for Kids events must be submitted to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by Friday, Jan. 24, in order to count toward 2013 fundraising goals.
Credit unions should send their checks and this form to CMN Hospitals’ corporate accounting department in Salt Lake City, according to Felicity Guerin, development manager for Credit Unions for Kids. Checks sent to local hospitals may not reach the corporate office in time to be included in 2013 totals, Guerin said.
CMN Hospitals’ accounting team will review each form (which includes mailing instructions) as soon as possible, making note of the credit union’s name and the type of fundraising event that was held. Every dollar submitted to the corporate office will be returned to local hospitals on a quarterly basis, along with a detailed report of who submitted the funds.
“Thank you for submitting the simple form and your funds in a timely manner,” Guerin said. “Most importantly, on behalf of the kids treated at our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, thank you for supporting the kids in your community!”
Northwest credit unions started the Credit Unions for Kids program in 1986. Now credit unions’ national charity of choice, it has raised more than $110 million for the 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, including $12 million in the Northwest alone for the region’s six network hospitals.
