National Credit Union Administration (NCUA)
The NCUA has released its latest economic video, which includes a focus on interest-rate risk.
Federal Reserve Board (FRB)
The FRB issued proposed amendments to Regulation A that would establish certain policies and procedures for the FRB’s ability to lend under emergency situations.
The December 2013 issue of the Federal Reserve Bulletin has been released and includes an article on consumer use of credit cards.
The FRB published a study that looks at payments, noting that card payments make up the majority of payments in the US. The study also discusses the amount of unauthorized transactions that take place, with 92 percent of unauthorized transactions occurring via cards (debit, credit, and prepaid) in 2012.
Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
The FTC issued a letter stating that companies can use an online verification method to obtain parental consent for minors using their websites.
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)
The FDIC published its Supervisory Insights for Winter 2013. Some of the highlights of the publication include industry trends on IRR management and lending trends.
Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
OFAC has updated the SDN list as of Dec. 19, 2013. The last update prior to this was Dec.18, 2013.
