Programmer Analyst

Are you an IT professional who enjoys working with end-users and analysts to design and implement complex application solutions?  Are you an experienced computer programmer?  Here is an exciting opportunity to join the Application Development Team creating solutions for the financial services industry.  We are looking for a technically skilled developer, with weighted consideration toward Financial Services core system development.  This person needs to be team-oriented, dynamic, experienced and interested in contributing their knowledge to our development and innovation initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. 1. Works with internal customers and analysts to design, develop, test, implement and maintain complex technology solutions.
  2. 2. Provides application architecture design and development to the suite of products used by WSECU including: the core processing system (Symitar) using PowerOn Scripting and web-based applications using .NET.
  3. 3. Responsible for building web services for software integration and external application interface development involving third party platforms.

Required Qualifications:  Bachelor Science in Computer Science or Engineering. Related experience may be substituted, year for year, in one or more of the following disciplines; Object oriented programming, .Net Framework (C#, VB .Net), ASP.Net (SilverLight,Entity Framework) MS SQL Server, Symitar Power On (Scripting).

Preferred Qualifications:  Understanding of software development lifecycle phases.  Understanding of object oriented programming concepts.  Report Generator certification.  Computer training and MCSD certification.  Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences and understanding how to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders through development process, proven ability to develop positive relationships with team members and customers.  Organizational and project management skills aimed toward successful outcomes.  Specific systems, applications or business area knowledge and systems analysis and design.  The ability to research problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Must be current on technology trends and provide a clear direction for the Credit Union to meet its strategic initiatives in technology areas.

The salary for this exempt position is DOQ plus an excellent benefits package.  This position will remain open until filled.

HOURS:  Monday – Friday, minimum 40 hours a week.  Scheduling flexibility is required.
