Card Services for Credit Unions Adds New Mobile Payment Options

Card Services for Credit Unions (CSCU) has added two new options to a suite of products that can help credit unions better serve members who are increasingly turning to their computers, mobile phones or tablets to make payments.
One of those options, MasterCard’s new MasterPass digital wallet service, lets cardholders use an enabled mobile device to make one-touch payments at any retailer that accepts MasterPass. Member credit unions also can offer digital-wallet access through their websites, CSCU says, so that users can safely store card information and use other branded credit, debit and prepaid cards to make transactions.

CSCU also is partnering with mobile technology and services provider Monitise to offer Bank Anywhere to CSCU’s more than 2,600 member credit unions. Bank Anywhere allows credit unions to easily introduce new mobile banking features, customize those features to match specific demographics and interact more frequently with consumers in a more contextual and personal way.
