Sound Credit Union, a dynamic, progressive-minded, state chartered credit union is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Recruiter to perform necessary HR duties with primary focus on Recruiting.  Sound Credit Union has over $1B in assets, a membership base of over 100,000, and 21 branches throughout King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Thurston counties.  This position is housed at the Corporate Headquarters in Downtown Tacoma.

Responsibilities include recruitment and selection functions including; work with managers on needs assessments, write and place job advertisements, develop sources of qualified applicants and participate in job fairs, screen applications and resumes, develop interview question, pre-screen and interview qualified candidates, administer testing when appropriate, schedule interviews with Hiring Manager, extend offers, conduct background investigations, initiate new hire paperwork, coordinate training and start date of new hires with Hiring Manager and Training Specialist. Maintain applicant tracking system.

The ideal candidate will have experience in recruiting, have a strong ability to multi-task, ability to work in a fast paced environment, ability to work independently as well as part of a close team, strong retention in learning, ability to follow instructions, attention to detail, strong communication and writing skills, ability to speak comfortably in groups, superior organizational skills, ownership of  responsibilities, and ability to see the big picture.

Qualified candidates must have two years’ human resources experience with emphasis on recruiting. Two years’ of financial institution experience desired.  Experience utilizing an applicant tracking system (ATS) required, preferably Pereless.  Two years’ of college level instruction in Business, Human Resource /Management or related field.  An equivalent combination of education and work experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job is acceptable. Knowledge and/or familiarity of the disciplines within the field of Human Resources, specifically recruiting/hiring.  Knowledge and/or familiarity of federal and state laws pertaining to Human Resources administration. Must be bondable.
