Amplify Convention: “How to” is the Buzzword

For attendees to Amplify Convention, registering is the easy part. Deciding which of the 15 Education Breakout Sessions to attend will be more difficult; some of them are being offered concurrently.
One thing is certain: attendees will leave with more know-how. The Education Breakout Sessions bring insight from payment experts, leadership coaches, marketers, technology-gurus and other thought leaders.
For example, the “Fintech Pitch Off” is a fast-paced session giving attendees a taste of the most innovative and cutting-edge financial technology in the marketplace. In “Leadership Presence,” executive coach Susan Geear will help professionals to become the compelling leaders teams want to follow. Economist Dwight Johnston will share a high-energy and entertaining look at the economy and the markets in his “How Far, How Fast” breakout. Trish Shermot, chief operations officer of CTCE Federal Credit Union in Pennsylvania will present “Marketing on a Shoestring.” Shermot united a public broadcasting television station with credit unions and consumers by producing a low-budget, high-impact show that taught the dos and don’ts of home buying. Donna Losch, SVP, senior benefits consultant for Brown and Brown, will get credit unions ready for healthcare reform, telling executives what they need to know to comply with the Affordable Care Act.
Amplify Convention is scheduled to take place at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower Oct. 8-10. The Education Breakout Sessions occur following the morning and afternoon general sessions.
