Helping Kids: It’s In Our “Jeans”

Miracle Jeans Day is Sept. 18
On Sept. 18, credit unions nationwide will be raising funds for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by celebrating Miracle Jeans Day. The concept is simple: credit union employees will donate $5 in order to wear jeans to work for the day. We hope your credit union will participate as well! You can find more information, resources, and sign up here.
Already Wear Jeans to Work? No Problem!
Instead of donating $5 to wear jeans, consider hosting a theme-day for employees. Credit unions across the country whose employees already wear jeans to work have developed some creative ways to support Miracle Jeans Day. Miracle Hat Day, Miracle Jersey Day and Miracle Flip Flop Day were all popular with credit union employees in past years!
Miracle Jeans Day 2012 was a huge success!
Last year, credit unions were the biggest supporter of Miracle Jeans Day, with over 600 credit unions raising over $300,000 for local CMN Hospitals. In Oregon and Washington, we had 30 credit unions take part, and this year, we hope 40 credit unions will participate!
Back by popular demand, there are a variety of materials to help you engage employees, further fundraising efforts and motivate members! Visit www.cu4kids.org/miraclejeansday to download these resources.
Don’t forget to take advantage of the downloadable stickers and paper icons that are both free and available immediately once you register your credit union. If you would prefer the preprinted icons used in the past, those are still available as well. Credit unions who raised the most from Miracle Jeans Day in 2012 were the ones that engaged members by selling icons in addition to wearing their jeans!
Sign up today, and help us make miracles!
