With the recent announcement of retirement for the organizations’ Vice President/CFO, Sound Credit Union is seeking a dynamic, experienced Vice President/CFO. Headquartered in Tacoma, Sound Credit Union is among the largest credit unions in the State of Washington with assets in excess $1B. As a key member of the Credit Union’s executive team, the VP/CFO will direct the financial affairs of the credit union; establish major economic and financial objectives and policies, and provide oversight and analysis in financial reporting, asset/liability management, strategic planning, and investment portfolio management.
We are seeking an individual who has proven experience with strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, risk management, investments, product pricing, ALCO and treasury management. In order to promote teamwork and superior quality service throughout the Credit Union, this individual will possess superior, proven leadership, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, the Board of Directors, as well as other regulating entities.
Experience will include five plus years accounting/finance experience in a management level position in a financial institution. Requires well-rounded knowledge of the Credit Union industry, regulations and operations. A Bachelor’s Degree in in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job. CPA preferred.
