Loss Prevention Specialist

Maps Credit Union has a full time opening in our Loss Prevention Department for a Loss Prevention Specialist. The successful candidate will have 1 -3 years of previous financial industry experience, with a concentration in the areas of collections and/or lending/credit. Business-related (i.e., accounting, finance, management, economics), college-level courses or combination of experience and Credit Union or financial industry-specific training is important. Essential Functions of the position include: Resolving negative share and delinquent loan account activity with a high level of expertise and measurable success; keeping accurate and current records of all collection activity (e.g., correspondence with members, actions taken for recovery of past due accounts); performing all duties and responsibilities associated with collection functions including; collection agency files, negative share accounts, the courtesy pay overdraft program, fraud, repossessions, charge off reviews, small claims and bankruptcy proceedings, garnishments, the CPI program, documentation, correspondence, and department reports. Monday- Saturday availability required.
