The “academy awards night of the Northwest credit union movement” takes center stage at a gala dinner honoring winners of the Advocacy, regional CUNA, Summit and Chapter Excellence awards. The October 10 sit-down dinner is one of the featured events during Amplify, the Northwest Credit Union Association’s (NWCUA) annual convention, scheduled October 8-10 in Portland.
Hundreds of attendees will be able to appreciate and cheer on their peers during one evening.
Nominations are now being accepted for the awards to be presented including:
- Summit Awards, a longstanding Northwest tradition celebrating the Young Credit Union Professional and Lifetime Achievement winners, along with the new Innovation and Impact Award.
- CUNA Awards, the Northwest arm of the national Credit Union National Association (CUNA) awards, recognizing the social impact of credit unions through financial education and community service. Regional winners are entered into the national program.
- Advocacy Awards, which recognize the professional and volunteer Credit Union Advocate of the Year as well as the Top of the Hill and Capitol Advocacy winners.
- Chapter Excellence Awards, honoring groups of credit unions in the categories of Leadership, Education, Advocacy, Philosophy in Action and Overall Best Practices.
Nomination forms are available online. The deadline for all award entries is August 1.
Another social and impactful event at Amplify will be “Boardwalk of Miracles,” a gala dinner and auction benefitting Credit Unions for Kids. Details will be featured in an upcoming report in Anthem.
The Strategic Link Trade Show will allow attendees to meet with their service providers, as well as to consider new products and partnerships. Booths are already selling quickly.
All events will take place at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower in downtown Portland.
Registration is open online.
