Calling Credit Union Volunteers to NWCUF Day at JA Finance Park June 3

Portland-area students will get out of the classroom for the day June 3 and step into a world that boasts of a high-tech, hands on mobile venue teaching personal money management. JA Finance Park is a mobile facility traveling throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. It was created to provide an interactive venue in which students navigate through a maze of financial expenditures, while encountering real-life challenges.

The venue features the Credit Union at JA Finance Park, which is funded by a multi-year grant from the Northwest Credit Union Foundation (NWCUF). The Credit Union at JA Finance Park offers information about credit scores, college savings, and short and long-term savings options.

With this partnership, all NWCUA affiliated credit unions are welcomed to volunteer at JA Finance Park, with the Northwest Credit Union Foundation creating a robust volunteer program to assist members in signing up to do so.

JA Finance Park will be set up at the Red Lion Jantzen Beach. This will be an all-day event beginning at 7:30 a.m. Space is limited, but participation is encouraged.

Interested volunteers are encouraged to register on our website no later than Thursday, May 30. NWCUF Foundation Development Associate Josalyn Alston will provide all participants who sign-up with more information in preparation for this wonderful event.
