POSITION TITLE: Real Estate Loan Processor
REPORTS TO: Real Estate Services Manager
Job Summary:
Performs all the functions of real estate loan processing which includes reviewing file upon receipt from Loan Officer to insure all required documentation/disclosures for program selected have been properly requested and completed pursuant OnPoint/Investor, state and federal regulatory requirements. Manages pipeline of loans in accordance with lock in expiration and earnest money agreement closing date deadlines. Provides members, realtors, escrow officers, loan officers, and closers effective communication concerning file status.
Essential Functions:

  1. Review real estate loan files within 24 hours of receipt from loan officer to determine if all required documentation has been requested and if not, effectively communicate with members to obtain.
  2. Review and correct all data on MortgageWare to ensure accuracy and input in conformance with department policy. Update information as received in order to keep MortgageWare reporting system and status codes up to date for pipeline management.
  3. Process loan in conformance with investor/department policy.
  4. Ability to interpret investor/department guidelines for documentation requirements and submit with file for approval to underwriting with all applicable “subject to’s” noted and compensating factors outlined.
  5. Analyze credit reports, tax returns, verifications, appraisals, preliminary title reports and other real estate related documentation to determine applicability.
  6. Assist in the development and training of other staff members in processing.
  7. Process and manage an active pipeline of loans (over 40) and process them in less than 30 days from receipt of full application and/or earnest money agreement.
  8. Assist Mortgage Services Manager in other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Ability to be self-directed, efficient, and meet deadlines.
  2. Must be detail-oriented.
  3. Strong organizational skills.
  4. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated skills in math and accounting.
  6. Proficiency in operation of MortgageWare software system.

Minimum Experience:

  1. High School diploma required.
  2. Minimum of 3 years real estate lending experience or a minimum of 1 year of first real estate processing experience.
  3. Advanced knowledge of MortgageWare or similar processing systems.
