Position:  Controller

Position Summary: Develops and implements effective departmental and accounting strategies, policies, and procedures. Effectively prepares, maintains, and reports internal and external financial records and analyses. Effectively supervises the Department staff, ensuring optimal performance. Establishes and maintains effective communication and coordination with Credit Union employees and management.  

Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.  CPA license required. Graduate degree (related) strongly preferred. Two to three years of related progressive experience, preferably in a financial environment. Significant supervisory experience required. Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), governmental regulations and reporting requirements and related auditing functions. Strong supervisory, communication, organizational skills. Excellent analytical abilities. Strong related computer skills (including excellent Excel skills and ability to learn new software quickly).  Demonstrated ability to deliver quality results under time constraints.  Ability to coordinate and monitor multiple projects simultaneously.
