Sound Credit Union, a dynamic, progressive-minded state chartered credit union is seeking an experienced Consumer Loan Processor. Sound Credit Union has over $1B in assets, a membership base of over 100,000, and 21 branches throughout King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Thurston counties.
The consumer loan processor will process and fund a full range of indirect and direct consumer loans within lending authority limits; evaluate background information including employment history, credit history and debt to income ratio of applicants for consumer loans, lines of credit, and VISA credit cards. Review title reports and loan documentation. Participate in processing, funding, and servicing of indirect loans; open new accounts obtained through indirect lending program; input relevant information into Indirect and host computer system; prepare and send Welcome Packets for new members obtained though indirect lending program; audit indirect loan files as assigned, to ensure compliance; respond to member inquiries regarding consumer loans. Maintain servicing of Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) and Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP). Is responsible for ensuring all documents and information is complete prior to disbursement. Analyze pay stubs and tax returns to determine income verification. Monitor tickler report for Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act (SSCRA) for necessary loan file maintenance. Maintain awareness of current trends in consumer credit financing.
Qualified candidates must have two years’ experience processing consumer loans; within a financial institution preferred. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be bondable.
