Strategic Link Question of the Week

One of our members is travelling internationally, and he is concerned that he will be vulnerable to fraud or that his debit card will be stolen. What other options are available to him?
Traveling is always an adventure, and with every adventure comes some risk. When that risk includes the possibility of a lost or stolen debit card, however, it is wise to look for alternative methods of payment.
One of the lowest-risk options is the Member Access Pacific (MAP) General Purpose Reloadable Prepaid Card. These cards are Visa-branded, so they can be used anywhere that accepts Visa, and, unlike a debit card, they are not connected to a checking account. Plus, with MAP’s prepaid consumer website, if the card is lost or stolen, it can be suspended immediately and reactivated if the card is found—all from the member’s computer or smartphone.
