NWCUA Members Invited to Answer the Call to Serve

The Northwest Credit Union Association (NWUCA) works to serve members with the best advocacy, compliance, education, and marketing and communications expertise. Much of that success is a result of the committed Volunteer Directors from our member credit unions who help to set the visionary path.

This month the NWCUA will begin taking nominations for new openings on the Board of Directors. Four seats will be up for election including seats from Districts 3, 5 and 7. There is also an opening for the position that represents large asset size credit unions.  Complete listings of credit unions by district and asset categories are available on the Association’s website.

Nominations will be accepted beginning on April 17 and will continue until April 29. Successful candidates will be seated at the next Annual Business Meeting in October 2013, and will serve a three year term.

The board of directors establishes the Association’s governance and direction and also serves as the voice of member credit unions in each district and asset category.

CEOs of member credit unions will be receiving detailed election information on or around April 15 outlining the nominating procedures and providing all of the forms required to submit a nominee for consideration.

Completed forms should be returned to Lisa Paul, elections secretary, by close of business on April 29.
