NWCUA Seeks Interim Director for District 7 Board Seat

The Northwest Credit Union Association (NWCUA) is currently seeking nominations to fill a vacated seat on its board of directors on an interim basis.

Nominations are currently being sought for eligible District 7 directors to serve from January 2013 until the Annual Business Meeting in October 2013. District 7 encompasses much of Washington’s Puget Sound region, including all of Clallam, Jefferson, Kitsap, Mason and Grays Harbor Counties, as well as much of King County.

The District 7 seat had been held by Prevail Credit Union President and CEO Tom Graves, who resigned his position on Nov. 29 in anticipation of Prevail’s merger with Harborstone Credit Union.

“Since 2007, it’s been my privilege and pleasure to serve as a board member for the NWCUA and its predecessor, the Washington Credit Union League (WCUL),” Graves said. “The significant achievements of the Association during this period stand as testament to the effective leadership of the Association, including the contributions of its many volunteers. I’m proud to have been counted among them.”

All nominations must be sent to NWCUA Executive Assistant Lisa Paul by Dec. 28, 2012. Both the nomination form and candidate profile form can be found online and must be completed prior to consideration. The Nominating Committee will submit its slate of candidates to the full NWCUA board, who will then review and appoint the interim District 7 director for the remainder of the term.
