Submit Funds to Credit Unions For Kids, Raise More Through Holiday Icon Campaign

“It has been a great year bringing Oregon and Washington together with our Regional Ambassador program for each hospital,” said Kasey Rockwell, director of outreach programs for the NWCUA. “We made a huge splash at Convention, raising $71,000 with our Miracle Jeans Day and our Denim & Diamonds Auction.

In order to streamline the process and get funds to the hospitals as quickly and efficiently as possible, credit unions are urged to remit funds to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital (CMNH) headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah, instead of to the Northwest Credit Union Association (NWCUA) or to the local hospital.

Using the Donation Submittal Form, credit unions can specify which hospital(s) should receive the submitted funds. The form must be mailed to the CMNH accounting team along with a check and the pledge form indicating the amount collected.

As a reminder, the hospitals need funds as often as possible and ask that credit unions send checks as soon as a fundraiser is complete.

Making Holiday Miracles Can Be Easy!

The Credit Union for Kids winter campaign makes it simple for credit unions to make miracles for kids in their communities this holiday season.

The Holiday Icon Campaign is an easy, turnkey way for credit unions and their members to rally behind a great cause and directly help the kids at their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Seventeen credit unions in Oregon and Washington are already participating:

3. Check the mail for your icons!

The concept is simple: staff invites members to donate a dollar, and in exchange, members get to write their name on a paper icon which is proudly displayed in the branch.
