CU PolicyPro, NWCUA Partnership to Expand Compliance Solutions

As the regulatory environment continues to challenge credit unions, their compliance teams need policies in place that have been researched, developed and vetted by regulatory experts.  To help meet this need, the Northwest Credit Union Association (NWCUA), through its partnership with CU Solutions Group, is providing CU PolicyPro at no additional cost to its member credit unions.

CU PolicyPro is available online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Operations Policy Manual provides a comprehensive suite of more than 200 model policies.

“I am very excited to have the additional compliance help,” added Debie Keesee, CEO of Spokane Media Federal Credit Union and chairman of the NWCUA’s board of directors.  “I have had a chance to review several of the policies and I think everyone will find great value in this new officering from the Association.”

“CU PolicyPro offers a full policy management system. So our credit unions will be able to customize any model to fit their own operations,” said David Curtis, the NWCUA’s Director of Compliance Services. He went on to stress the key focus the NWCUA has put on compliance services and products. “Our goal is to offer tools and resources that ensure credit unions are fully compliant with NCUA regulations.”

The CU Solutions Group team will assist with training, help to answer technical support questions and share best practices with credit unions. News of the partnership agreement was welcomed by credit unions familiar with the resource.

“I cannot tell you how happy I am about this,” said Windie Rogers, vice president of lending at GaPac Community Federal Credit Union in Bellingham, Wash. “What a great product.”

Ten Northwest credit unions are already using PolicyPro. When their contracts expire, they will seamlessly roll into the Association’s plan and will no longer have to independently pay for the services.

The CU PolicyPro launch is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 15.
