September Communication Update from CUNA Mutual Group

Hurricane Isaac Affects Coastal Credit Unions

CUNA Mutual Group has activated its Property and Casualty Disaster Claims teams to help credit unions in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama affected by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaac. As of Sept. 1, reported losses have been isolated to minor building and interior water issues. The exceptions to this are flood losses to two credit unions in Louisiana. Both credit unions sustained heavy flood losses but remain operational, and both carry Federal Flood Policies brokered though CUNA Mutual Group.

Free Day-Long Online Discovery Conference: Tuesday, Oct. 9

It’s not too late to register for CUNA Mutual Group’s annual Online Discovery Conference on Tuesday, Oct. 9. This industry event offers credit unions a full day of learning and discovery from the convenience of their computer—for free.

Online Discovery is the web-based equivalent of a face-to-face conference without the associated expenses or time away from the office. The event is designed for CEOs and senior leadership teams of credit unions, but all credit union and league employees are welcome. Attendees can come and go from the conference as they please, providing great flexibility to allow many staff members from the same organization to attend, if even for just a few hours. All information shared will be available on demand once the conference is over.
