Sound Credit Union, a progressive-minded credit union is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to join our team. While Sound’s Field of Membership serves the entire state of Washington, the primary service area of our 21 branches is in Pierce, King, Snohomish, Thurston counties, and surrounding Puget Sound communities. We currently possess a membership of 100,000, and assets in excess of $1 billion, placing us among the largest credit unions in the State of Washington.
The role of the Branch Manager is to provide leadership to the branch and serve as a role model in member service. The Branch Manager guides staff in transaction processing, loan applications and new accounts, and resolves problems within established policies and procedures. Provide managerial leadership, coaching and motivation and direct the activities of the branch. Provide support, input, feedback, and guidance concerning daily operations. Ensure member service systems/procedures in the branch operate efficiently and accurately. Maintain branch surroundings that reflect the Credit Union’s commitment to provide a friendly, respectful, courteous and professional business environment for all Credit Union Members.
Qualified candidate must have two years related management experience in a financial institution, and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or five years related experience and/or training. Must have knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations applicable to industry. Must have strong background in operations and new accounts principles, and have knowledge of the fundamentals of lending, and loan collection concepts and practices. Must be bondable.
