Vice President, Investments & One Washington Financial

Are you an investment industry leader with a FINRA Series 24 license and extensive insurance experience? Do you enjoy motivating Financial Advisors to achieve sales goals and client satisfaction? Here is an exciting opportunity to lead the Investment Services division of WSECU while also managing our insurance operations related to term life insurance, long term care insurance, AD&D insurance and P&C insurance. We are looking for a leader with successful experience managing a team of financial advisors. This person needs to be dynamic, knowledgeable and interested in contributing their knowledge to our research initiatives.

The position contributes to WSECU’s success by overseeing the day-to-day activities of the financial advisors and sales support team, developing promotional campaigns and tactics, and monitoring compliance with applicable regulations. Separate from the brokerage platform and investment business of the credit union, the position manages projects related to new business opportunities for WSECU, including contract negotiation, presentations, developing and maintaining a network of contacts related to the project, and other business development efforts.

The salary for this exempt position is DOQ plus an excellent benefits package!

Required Qualifications 

Four year college degree in business administration or related field.  Related experience may be substituted, year for year, for education. Ten years progressively responsible financial planning or insurance industry experience, with at least five of those years in a leadership role.  FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66 licenses are required, as well as a life & disability insurance license.  P&C insurance experience and licensing highly desirable. Strong communication skills, budgeting and analytical expertise, and sales management experience required. Must be current on industry trends and provide a clear direction for the investment division to meet its strategic initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications 

Some legal background, an advanced degree, and successful management experience specifically within the investment services industry are desired.  The ability to research problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

HOURS:  Monday – Friday, minimum 40 hours a week.  Scheduling flexibility is required.
