Trainer

TAPCO Credit Union, the oldest credit union in Pierce County is seeking an experienced Trainer.

TAPCO has over $250M in assets and four branches located in Pierce County.

Responsibilities include conducting training of staff. The scope of training addresses varying

learning styles and includes, but it not limited to, processes, procedures, regulations,

transaction software and consultative service skills delivered via classroom, online and on-the-job

environments.

Oversees and co-ordinates the use of external trainers.

Support the Credit Union’s mission, vision and strategic plan through the development and delivery of

educational materials and training of staff.  Assess the needs and identify solutions to ensure that staff

has the knowledge to support the achievement of the Credit Union’s long term and annual performance goals.

Coordinates with key stakeholders to ensure curriculum and content are current and relevant to support

the job skills and service delivery.  Support the coordination and delivery of education to the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee.

Create and implementation of a training calendar.

Implements and coordinates new employee orientation activities and curriculum in conjunction with

Human Resources and employee supervisors.

Required knowledge: three years minimum financial operations experience required. Previous training

Experience and technical training experience preferred.  Experienced user of training equipment such

as DVD player, video projection systems, etc. Microsoft Windows platform. XP2 knowledge preferred.

Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience required. Trainer Certification or

Bachelors of Arts in Education (BAE) preferred.
